Seed Library
The ACPL Seed Library, located at Little Turtle, New Haven and Waynedale branches, encourages urban, suburban, and rural residents to grow low-cost, nutritious food at home by providing seeds to individuals of all skill levels.

How it works:

Visit Little Turtle, New Haven or Waynedale to browse the Seed Library or view the seed list online.

Choose up to eight seed packets per calendar year (online & in-person). When in-person, check-out at the front desk by filling out a Growing Season sheet.

Grow the seeds, save some for yourself, and return some to the Seed Library
This FREE service relies on growers sharing seeds with the community. Locally grown seeds are better suited to our soil and climate and more resistant to local pests and disease.
The Seed Library was founded with the support of local author Michael Martone. All seeds are either non-GMO or heirloom. Visit the Purdue University Extension office website for additional gardening resources.

Seeds ordered online can be sent to any ACPL location for pickup. Please allow up to 7 days for your order to arrive. Staff will contact you when they are ready.
Please Note: A library card is not required to use this service.
