Suggest Materials
for Purchase

Can’t find what you’re looking for?
Have a suggestion for our collection?

Can’t find what you’re looking for? Have a suggestion for our collection?  We work tirelessly to have a diverse and rich collection for you, but even our incredible team can’t find everything. When that happens, we welcome feedback and suggestions from our patrons to help get the materials you want into your hands!

If there is a book, movie, video game, or other material you would like to access through ACPL, you have two options to request it:

  1. Submit a Material Purchase Suggestion and we’ll see if we can find the item available for purchase. Although we try to obtain materials for our cardholders, we are unable to guarantee all suggestions will be filled. Due to the volume of suggestions, we will be unable to track individual requests or place holds on material once it is purchased. Please check our catalog in 4-6 weeks to place holds.

  2. You may also request materials from another library via Interlibrary Loan (ILL). The library uses ILLiad software for its ILL requests. You will need to register with ILLiad the first time you use it. After registering, you can log in with your library card number and password. Once you have logged in to ILLiad, you can make and track your ILL requests and electronically view any requested articles. Please review the Interlibrary Loan Guidelines for specific details regarding this service.

Please know that our teams will try to get the material as fast as possible and so we may convert purchase suggestions to interlibrary loan (or vice-versa) in order to better meet your request.
