The Shawnee Branch of the Allen County Public Library will close due to installation of a new HVAC system from Wednesday, May 8 through Friday, May 10. No other branches are impacted. The branch is scheduled to reopen Saturday, May 11.
During the closure, patrons will have no access to the Shawnee building or parking lot. This includes book browsing, meeting rooms, study rooms, programs, computers, or item checkouts/returns. Shawnee patrons may use any other ACPL location to return items, pick up holds, and access all other library services. The ACPL is a fine free library, so patrons will not be charged overdue fines for late materials.
Nearby branches include Waynedale (2200 Lower Huntington Rd.), Hessen Cassel (3030 E. Paulding Rd.), and Pontiac (2215 S. Hanna St.). The Library’s 24/7 digital library is also available. If patrons have questions, or need assistance, they can call (260) 421-1200.
