NATIONALLY-KNOWN “PANTSUIT POLITICS” PODCAST HOSTS TO SPEAK AT LIBRARY

The Allen County Public Library will welcome authors and podcast hosts Sarah Stewart Holland and Beth Silvers for an author visit on Wednesday, April 26 at 6 p.m. at the Main Library (900 Library Plaza, Fort Wayne). Stewart Holland and Silvers host Pantsuit Politics podcast, featured in the New York Times, the Atlantic, featured by Good Morning America 3 as one of their Podcasts of the Month, and named by Apple Podcasts as one of the Best Shows of 2021.

Stewart Holland and Silvers are also the authors of Now What? How to Move Forward When We’re Divided (About Basically Everything) (2022) and I Think You’re Wrong (But I’m Listening): A Guide to Grace-Filled Political Conversation (2019), which was featured on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, received starred trade reviews, and continues to be in demand with readers, book clubs, and libraries. The hosts speak frequently to universities, businesses, and civic organizations about improving political dialogue.

According to the authors’ website, the podcast is designed for “real conversations that help us understand politics, democracy, and the news – while still treating each other like thoughtful human beings.”

“The ACPL strives to be a place for community dialogue and the exchange of ideas,” said Allen County Public Library Executive Director Susan Baier. “As we embark on election season, we feel it is important to promote learning and civility as the keys to a healthy democracy.”

The event is free and open to the public. Advance registration is recommended as seating is limited. Tickets can be reserved at acpl.lib.in.us/pantsuit-politics.

This event has been generously sponsored by the Friends of the Allen County Public Library. The authors’ books are available in print and electronic versions in the ACPL catalog.
