Allen County Public Library Announces Retirement of CFO David Sedestrom and Welcomes Incoming CFO Jill Noll

The Allen County Public Library (ACPL) announces that Chief Financial Officer (CFO) David Sedestrom will be retiring after 25 years of dedicated service. His official retirement date is set for April 4, 2025. He will be succeeded by Jill Noll, a 30-year ACPL employee who acted as Sedestrom’s “second in command” in her most recent role as Financial Services Manager.

Sedestrom's remarkable tenure with ACPL has seen him contribute significantly to the library's growth and financial stability. His team was recently awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 32nd consecutive year by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA). He was also instrumental in securing funding for several large-scale capital projects including the 2003-2007 construction of the new Main Library, as well as, the Georgetown, Grabill, Monroeville, New Haven, Pontiac, and Woodburn Branches. Most recently, Sedestrom ushered in one of the largest solar-energy projects in the Fort Wayne community when the Main Library’s roof added nearly 600 solar panels in late 2024. He also helped lead the effort to fund the first phase of the Library’s Facilities Master Plan – a comprehensive capital projects plan that will set the system on the path to meet not only current, but also future demands of a growing Allen County. Looking forward, ACPL is pleased to announce that Jill Noll will be stepping into the role of CFO. Noll has been with the library since 1995 and has proven herself to be an integral leader on the Financial Services team. Her depth of experience will guide the library through this transitional period, ensuring the continuation of excellence in financial operations.

Since late 2024, Dave Sedestrom and Jill Noll have worked closely to ensure a smooth transition of CFO duties. The library community is grateful for Dave’s exceptional service and excited for the continued leadership that Jill Noll will bring as the new CFO of Allen County Public Library.
