The Allen County Public Library has announced the 2025 Rock the Plaza lineup, now in its 18th year. The popular outdoor concert series will feature a total of 27 performers and will take place every Saturday from June 14 through July 26. Concerts are held from 6 to 10 p.m. on the Main Library Plaza (900 Library Plaza) in Fort Wayne.

“Rock the Plaza isn't just a concert series—it's a celebration of community,” said ACPL’s Access Fort Wayne Manager Norm Compton. “For eighteen years now, we’ve danced, sang, and enjoyed the magic of music with thousands of our neighbors under the summer sky. It is a perfect example of how libraries are so much more than just books – we are about meeting new people, learning new things, and encountering new experiences – in a safe and welcoming space!"

Rock the Plaza has been instrumental in the launch of several local acts, many of whom played their first “big gig” under the Plaza Bandshell. The series continues that tradition with 12 bands who have never played Rock the Plaza previously. Fan favorites from a variety of genres, as well as, the popular Pink Floyd tribute band “Pink Droyd” will also grace the stage:

JUNE 14: Susan Mae & the New Yesterday, Sunny Taylor, Pink Droyd

JUNE 21: Black Kat Moan, Neo Nea, Select Musicians of the FW Philharmonic, Craig Guy Band

JUNE 28: Mighty McGuiggans, Afro-Disiacs, Radio Blast, GHF

JULY 5: Aleena & the Tall Boys, Bigsby, Alicia Pyle & the Locals, Pop N Fresh

JULY 12: The Wailhounds, Dave P & Friends, The Humanity, Lil's Family Lizard

JULY 19: The Redundants, Chris Hambrick, Peachtree, Q & the Coldfusion

JULY 26: Weird Science, Kenny Taylor, SUN.DYLE, Los Electro

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, and/or food. Pets are prohibited. Pint & Slice will be on site selling food and beverages, including beer and wine. For those who are unable to attend in person, concerts will air on ACPL’s Access Fort Wayne, Comcast channel 55 and Frontier channel 25. The concerts will also be livestreamed on the Library’s YouTube channel and replayed on ACPL’s radio station WELT 95.7.

Rock the Plaza’s 2025 Platinum Sponsors are 96.3WXKE and the Allen County Public Library Foundation.

The Library’s annual Music on the Plaza Concert Series will also provide lunchtime music opportunities downtown. These concerts feature local bands and food trucks from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Music on the Plaza lineup is as follows:

JUNE 18: Alicia Pyle & the Locals

JULY 23: New Millennium Jazz Orchestra

AUGUST 6: Fort Wayne Funk Orchestra

Combined, Rock the Plaza and Music on the Plaza provide 10 free opportunities for the community to enjoy live music from 30 local bands and performers on the Library Plaza downtown. For more information, call (260) 421-1200 or visit acpl.info/music
