DVD, Video, and Video Game Policies 3-Day DVDs: Include major motion pictures,
television shows, made-for-TV specials, stand-up comedy, music videos, foreign films
and other feature entertainment on DVD. Major motion picture movies are also offered on Blu-Ray DVD.
21-Day Videos and DVDs: Include educational materials,
documentaries and other items as determined.
Circulation Period and Check Out Limits:
ALWAYS CHECK YOUR DUE DATE RECEIPT. 3-Day DVDs and Blu-Ray DVDs are identified with
a 3-DAY LOAN sticker and genre labels (Drama, Comedy, etc.). The check out period
is three days; for example, an item checked out on Monday is due back on Thursday. 21-Day Videos, DVDs and Blu-Rays are due three weeks after they are checked out. 7-day Express Video Games are identified
with an Express label and are due a week after they are checked out. Newly registered cardholders must wait until they have received and presented their acknowledgment card (or two weeks) before they can check out media.

- 21-Day Video Games: Limit of 6
- 21-Day DVDs (including 21-Day loan Blu-Ray DVDs): Unlimited
- VHS Videos, regardless of loan period: Unlimited
3-Day DVDs and Blu-Ray DVDs: 1 renewal
7-Day Express Video Games: No renewals
21-Day Videos and DVDs: 5 renewals (if no holds are on items)
Materials may be renewed at the Main Library or at any branch library, by phone
using our renewal line (421-1240), or via our website (www.acpl.info).
3-Day DVDs and Blu-Ray DVDs: $1.00 per day
7-Day Express Video Games: $1.00 per day
21-Day Videos and DVDs: $.25 cents per day
NO EXCEPTIONS. NO GRACE PERIOD.
No age requirements except on 3-Day DVDs and Blu-Ray DVDs. 3-Day DVDs and Blu-Ray DVDs with a
yellow label over the call number may be checked out by anyone. 3-Day DVDs and Blu-Ray DVDs with
a green label are rated R and require a patron to be 18 years of age to check them out.
DVDs, videos, Blu-Ray DVDs, and Video Games may be returned to the Main Library return boxes on the first
floor or the outside drop boxes. They may also be returned to any branch location. DVDs, Blu-Ray DVDs, videos, and Video Games
may also be returned to the Art, Music & Media department on the second floor.
3-Day DVDs and Blu-Ray DVDs: No reserves or holds. NO EXCEPTIONS.
7-Day Express Video Games: No reserves or holds. NO EXCEPTIONS.
21-Day Videos and DVDs: You may place holds on 21-Day
Videos or DVDs. Cardholders are limited to 5 holds. You will receive a notice
in the mail or by email when the item is available for pickup at your chosen library location.
Damage to Equipment: The library is not responsible
for any damage to patron's audio or video equipment.
DVDs can be found via our catalog by searching for the TITLE. You can also limit to DVDs/Blu-Rays before searching by using the drop-down menu under Everything.
