Hey, Sneakerheads!

Celebrate the art and style of athletic shoes.

Sneakers have been a big part of hip-hop fashion for decades. They are functional and stylish. Students in grades K through 12 are invited to create their own colorful dream-shoe design and enter to win a prize. The top finalist submissions will be judged by players from the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, who will select the first place winner!

Entry deadline: February 28, 2023. Turn in your submission at any branch of the Allen County Public Library.

Reflect & Design:

Will your shoe design use one, two, or many colors?

Will your shoe look retro, modern, or futuristic?

If you had your own shoe line, what would your logo look like? Where will you feature it on your shoe?

Some artists create custom art work on shoes for collectors. Give it a try!
