41st Annual ACPL Poetry Contest 2023

Create with words! Submit a poem for the 41st Annual Allen County Public Library Poetry Contest. This year’s theme is “I Can.”

 

General Guidelines

• Open to children in Kindergarten through Grade Five.

• Contestants must be residents of or attend school in Allen County, Indiana.

• Only one poem no more than one page in length per person may be submitted.

• Any style of poetry is welcome.

• Submissions will be accepted from October 23 through November 30, 2023.

• Poems must be original work and not previously published.

• Entries submitted online must be Microsoft Word compatible docs or JPGs.

• Paper submissions should be on 8.5" x 11" paper and delivered to any library location. All paper entries must have the poet's name, address, phone number, email (if available), name of school and grade on the back of the poem.

• This year’s theme of “I Can” is only a suggestion; poems do not have to adhere to the theme.
