Children's Services is conveniently located off the Great Hall in the northwest corner of the new addition, facing Ewing and Wayne Streets. Its entry near the school bus drop off and parking garage is ideal for classes and families.

An Orientation Room improves educational opportunities for school groups and tours. A continuous, curvilinear wall in Children's Services creates unique reading, display and play nooks for children of all ages, incorporating sunlight from a mosaic of windows that frame views towards Wayne Street, the adjacent churches, and the Chamber of Commerce.

Children's Services provides materials and services for children in fifth grade and younger, as well as for adults who are interested in children, children’s development, or children’s literature. Some of the focal points of the room include:
  • The Reading Tower for children ages 7 to 12 to enjoy as a quiet space for reading or to talk with friends
  • Two large salt water aquariums and one large reef tank with a spectacular assortment of fish and sea life
  • A computer room with 32 computer stations for any child in fifth grade or under.
  • Two study rooms for children working on homework or a group project, homeschoolers, tutoring, etc.
  • The Early Learning Center, a 2200 square foot room designed for playful learning of pre-literacy and pre-numeracy skills. Children six and younger are invited to learn and play with their favorite grownup in this space.
