Rosetta Project: This site archives language samples for preservation across millennia. Each language is documented according to seven components deemed useful for future linguistic archaeologists.

World Wide Words: This site is dedicated to the history, quirks, curiosities, and evolution of the English language.

Alta Vista’s Babel Fish: Up to 150 words can be translated into nine languages.

Free Translation: Type in up to 1800 words and get a free translation from a variety of different languages. Professional document translation is also available for a fee.
