Library Services
Ask a Librarian: Email Service
Need information? Ask a Librarian! Librarians are experts in helping people find
information. From finding a good book to locating an obscure fact, librarians are
the source for quality information retrieval. Now in addition to
visiting the library or calling in your question, you can email ask@acpl.info
or fill out the form.
Nonprofit Resource Center
The Nonprofit Resource Center is the place to look for resources and services for the nonprofit organization. The mission of the Nonprofit Resource Center is to collect, organize, and share information on foundations, nonprofits, corporate giving, and related subjects. We provide books, other library materials, and professional services for free for all users of the collection.
Juvenile Deposit Collection (jDC) Program
Children's librarians present a storytime and check out boxes
of 50 books to area childcare and preschool facilities each fall
and spring. Read more here.
Custom Collections
With one to two weeks' notice, children's librarians
will prepare "Custom Collections" of books, CD-ROMs,
magazines, and video or audiotapes to fill your needs. Age-appropriate
materials are gathered according to themes or lists of specific
titles and available to check out at your preferred location. This
service is available to anyone and is heavily used by teachers,
homeschooling families, students, and parents. Request a collection
in person, over the phone, or online.
Outreach Services
Through our Outreach Services program, the library offers free delivery of materials to persons who are physically unable to visit the library, including the elderly, the disabled, and those who are temporarily incapacitated by illness or accident. You may request books or have a librarian select them according to your interests.
