"Nice to meet ya, shank," the boy said. "Welcome to the Glade." Thomas wakes up not knowing who he is or how he got to the Glade. There are other boys there but no one will answer his questions; most of them seem almost as clueless as he is. Thomas knows one thing; that he is meant to be one of the Runners, the group of boys that spend every day trying to solve an impossible maze. It is filled with dangerous creatures called Grievers and the walls change every night-but it must be solved. Then a girl shows up who tells them she has triggered the ending. Things are about to get even crazier for Thomas and the other Gladers. Can they solve the maze before it's too late?

The Maze Runner is the first book in a five-book series. It is exciting and fast-paced; you won't want to put it down! Once you've read the books you can check out the movies.
