Goodreads can be fascinating!

by The Bibliomaniacs | Oct 05, 2015
We use Goodreads pretty exclusively when it comes to keeping track of books we've read and books we intend to read. It's a great way to interact with other readers around the world. Sometimes you agree with the vast majority of readers and sometimes you are in the minority in your opinion. That's where this post comes in.

For those of you not familiar with Goodreads, anyone who has an account can rate (and review!) a book. The rating system is a star system and you can give a book anywhere between a 1 and a 5, sadly there's not an option to give half star increments.

We are now going to reveal the books that we've given a 5 star rating but have the lowest star rating in the Goodreads community and what books we've given a 1 star rating but have the highest star rating. Ready? Let's go!

Our 5 Star Books

Evil LibrarianA book that we reviewed even! We both thoroughly enjoyed this title, but sadly it does not have the greatest of rating on Goodreads.

Goodreads rating: 3.55 stars

Beauty QueensRachael read this book years ago or should we say listened to it as she listened to the author narrate the book. Highly recommended, by the way.

Goodreads rating: 3.58 stars

Our 1 Star Books

A Tie for Megan!

Trial by FireAnother book that we reviewed and neither of us liked it.

Goodreads rating: 3.96

Young ElitesYet another book that we reviewed together. A definite disappointment, especially as Legend by Lu is an excellent book.

Goodreads rating: 3.96

CuredRachael really enjoyed the first book of this series, Stung, but this one fell quite flat  in her opinion. The insta-love was just too much.

Goodreads rating: 4.24

So there you have it! The books that Megan and Rachael where disagreed the most with the Goodreads community. Time to share yours!
