Children's Resources from World Book Online
The following online resources are available from any computer by entering your ACPL library card number.
Offers easy-to-read articles and a wealth of engaging multimedia, games, science projects,
interactive tools, and activities for younger students.
Tailored for students in elementary and middle schools & includes all the articles from the print versions
of the World Book Encyclopedia, plus thousands of additional articles, learning resources, and research tools.
Engaging reference resources for students reading below grade level because of language or learning
difficulties. The collection includes reference content, text-to-speech capabilities, learning
and life skills activities, research and translation tools, multimedia, and interactive video.
The optimal beginner's Spanish language reference tool. The site offers World Book's
excellent editorial content, rich media, and engaging features in Spanish.
For preschoolers to 2nd grade. Provides leveled readers to develop and strengthen phonics,
vocabulary, phonemic awareness and comprehension skills. Early learners are also given visual
non-fiction topics, narrative stories, interactive games that reinforce comprehension and videos
that teach critical early childhood themes, including numbers, shapes, colors, opposites and more.
