Book Awards: Sibert Medal
2012 Mock Sibert Election
Each year, the Sibert Award honors the best informational book for children. At the Allen County Public Library,
we enjoy hosting a Mock Sibert discussion and election program of our own, and you are invited to join us.
Below you will find the first reading list for this program. Titles are currently under discussion on the ACPL Mock Sibert
Blog. We'd love to hear what you think!
Visit the blog to leave comments about titles or to suggest titles for the reading lists.
We'll get together on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. for an in-person discussion and to choose our Mock Sibert winner
and honor books. You're welcome to join us for that program -
registration is now open. Indiana librarians will earn 4 LEUs for attending!
