Computer Resources
In the new and expanded Computer Room in Children's Services, you'll find
both Internet PCs and MacIntosh computers. Our MacIntosh computers are loaded with many fun educational
games for a wide variety of ages and interests.
SOFTWARE
The MacIntosh computers are preloaded with games and programs that
can be run on the computers provided.
Some software highlights include:
Living Books
Living Books are story-based interactive CD-ROMs that allow the
player to become part of the action. Some popular "Living Books"
include Just Grandma and Me, The Tortoise and the Hare, and Arthur's
Teacher Trouble.
AppleWorks
This is a multipurpose program on the MacIntosh computers that offers
word processing, spreadsheet, and other capabilities.
Blaze the Trail!
Play Oregon Trail or Yukon Trail for a real thrill.
Feeling Creative?
Try your hand at art using Kid Pix.
Get Smart, Have Fun!
Challenge your mind and have a good time doing it. Try Thinkin'
Things, Reader Rabbit or others!
