In the Spring of 1989, the Indiana Chapter of the ACM was formed to
provide a state network of citizens, professionals, and organizations
interested in access and L.O programming. This way people in our state
can work more closely with neighboring communities to share ideas
and solve problems. The chapter assists the flow of communication
through regular articles in Keylight, the newsletter of the Central
States Region. Keylight is provided to all members of the Indiana
Chapter. The Chapter also meets regularly in various locations across
the state for workshops and meetings. This allows members in different
geographical areas a convenient meeting location.
HOW
DOES IT WORK?
The State Chapter is governed by a Board of Directors elected by the
membership on an annual basis. As the needs of the chapter are based
upon the needs of the membership, individuals of the Board encourage
members to communicate ideas and opinions.
The Chapter also provides members with a State
Directory of Access and L.O. facilities around the state. In addition,
they receive Keylight, a quarterly newsletter of the Central State
Region. Members are also notified of activities of the Indiana Chapter,
the Central States Regional activities and receive a discount on Chapter
workshop registration fees.
