Entry Level Workshops

Unless volunteers test out of a class, they must start with one of the two entry level classes: the Studio Camera class or the Camcorder class. The Studio Camera workshop is held on the first Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The Camcorder class is held the second Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

To register for either or both classes, you first need to call the Library Volunteer Coordinator, Sandy Screeton, for an interview at (260) 421-1233. Volunteers must be at least 13 years old.

Advanced Workshops

Advanced workshops on other equipment will be offered after completing a set amount of volunteer hours. Upon completion of 20 hours on Studio Camera, volunteers may be trained as Audio Operators. After 20 hours of running audio, volunteers may be trained as Assistant Directors. The Directors workshop is a one-on-one workshop and is scheduled when the volunteer becomes proficient in all phases of production.
